Start your own creative practice with an Art Journal! In these sessions Miss Megan will work with you on a variety of fun and process-based techniques such as scrape painting, collage, hand lettering, drawing, and more. All journals are hand-made by Miss Megan, just for this class series! 

​

NO PREVIOUS SKILLS REQUIRED!

 

During our Art Journal sessions, Makers will learn to tap into their creative side (we ALL have one!) in a no-pressure environment. Each Maker is encouraged to make their journal what they want it to be, to reflect, to write down memories, or to just PLAY!​

This class series was designed with each session to build on the previous ones, but you are welcome to attend any or all of them!

Pumpkin Painting Party #3: Adults Only!

​Join us for our annual Pumpkin Painting Parties!

​

We'll have a variety of pumpkins, craft supplies, paints, and inspiration ready for you, plus we'll take care of the clean up!

 

Stumpkins will be available to paint instead of a traditional pumpkins as well, provided by B's Happy Trees! We love Stumpkins because they can be loved year after year!

​

Prices range from $15 to $40 per pumpkin/Stumpkin, including craft fee.

​

Bring your own pumpkin and pay a $20 Craft fee per pumpkin.

​

This is a Come + Go event, no reservation needed!

All items are first come, first serve.

Learn the basics of surface embroidery while stitching a Partridge with a Pear, just in time for the Holiday season! Class includes a full kit from Hook, Line, and Tinker ($30 value), plus instruction from Miss Megan and access to additional supplies, no need to bring any additional items to class!

Miss Megan started her teaching journey with embroidery lessons, and is so excited to get back to her teaching roots!

Hobbit Door Wreath

We'll use a vine wreath as the foundation for a Hobbit-inspired decoration! We'll create a base for our door using wood before adding moss, faux flowers, and more to create our own Hobbit door!

​

Scones and tea will be available during this class, please feel free to bring additional snacks or beverages! BYOB is allowed at this event for Makers 21+.

Faces

Create loose, colorful, and fun portraits of friends, loved ones, yourself, or people who inspire you in your journal! We'll start with blind contour warm ups before discussing some general portraiture measurments. Then we'll combine the two techniques to create a colorful portrait!​

We'll practice mono-printing, stenciling, and stamping techniques to add the first (of many!) layers to any or all of our journal pages! We can use these new layers to cover backgrounds we don't like, add pattern, and more in preparation for our first imagery in November's class!

Add texture, real and implied, to select journal pages. Add real texture by collaging with textured papers and painting with thickened paints. We'll also add implied texture by creating rubbings of 3D items like bark! â€‹

Bring jeans, jackets, hats, or any other denim items with you to this class! We'll have a buffet of supplies to decorate them with including paint, patches, trims, gems, embroidery threads and more! We'll also have our button-making machine on hand, learn to make your own 1" pins for added flair!
